Snoring and day time sleepiness can have a profound impact on quality of life
- DAY TIME SLEEPINESS – Less effectiveness at work and increased risk of accidents
- REDUCED ENERGY – Resulting in poor motivation to exersize and weight gain
- RELATIONSHIP ISSUES – Sleeping in different bedrooms, reduced sex life and higher stress levels
- HYPERTENTION – Those who snore or suffer from sleep apnoea (OSA) have an elevated risk of high blood pressure
Obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA) is a serious condition in which a person stops breathing (or suffers extreme low oxygen levels) whilst asleep and often occurs in conjunction with snoring.
Sleepwell - MAS
Sleepwell has been shown to be the most clinically successful device to help patients with maintaining positive airways to reduce or even eliminate snoring. Even more so, a success rate of over 80% in fully apnoeic patients have been demonstrated.
Sleepwell is fully adjustable by the patient – a simple adjustment can modify the degree of mandibular advancement, cutting out the need to see the dentist for adjustments.
Sleepwell is also uniquely designed with internal splint fixing, allowing the lips to be closed around the device, preventing dry lips and excess salivation associated with other splints. High levels of patient comfort meant that during clinical trials over 98% of patients found the device acceptable.
Designed and manufactured in the UK by S4S, the device is moulded specifically to patient impressions.
